Initiate of the Black Lotus

The sickly incense of the lotus burnt his nostrils and stung his eyes. His thoughts rapidly slurred into unintelligble tremors as horror paralysed his limbs. Her voiced cut through the smoke and darkness by some arcane power and seemed to frame the terrible vision of darkness as it drew into that abject form- Don't flee from the horror that would engulf you. This is the place by which all who would seek to find themselves must come. Let the shadows take their hideous forms. Stand your ground though they seek to overwhelm you. Find your courage and bare their tortures though they grow and do not deminish. Make no mistake, when you find your courage you will find your strength. Indeed you will have found your soul. And my apprentice it is by the soul that all magik is worked.
